Adoptee Forum: International Adoption, Race, and Culture Identity

Join us for our October Adoptee Forum!

While there are more and more outlets to discuss our adoption experiences, often the discussion on race only scratches the surface. Come join adoptees for an honest and open discussion on the role that race and culture play within the international adoption experience. While we may come from similar cultures, the way we develop our identities can vary tremendously.  RSVP for location.

Moderated by Marissa Martin. Marissa has been involved with AKA for over 9 years, including 4 as president, and is an LMSW with extensive experience in policy, education, advocacy and working with international adoptees.

WHEN: Monday, October 24, 2016 from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
