This month’s adoptee forum invites Also-Known-As members and fellow international adoptees to discuss a defining, core adoptee experience: the adopted family and the adoptee.
Every adoptee has a story to tell, and after one’s arrival in this country, adopted families are often the beginning and certainly not the end of that story. Please join us as we explore the topic of identity development from childhood through adulthood and how family culture and relationships with adopted parents, siblings, and extended family have shaped our self-identity, perceptions, and lifelong adoption journey.
AKA board member and educator Lindsay Fasano will facilitate the evening with discussion, activities, and light refreshments.
