Adoptee Excellence Scholarship

We are thrilled to announce that the 2021 Also-Known-As Adoptee Excellence Scholarship is live! This is the third year we have offered this opportunity to international adoptees who were adopted to the US and will be enrolled in college during the coming school year. The winner of the scholarship will receive a one-time $1,500 scholarship to support their full-time study at an accredited U.S. college, university, or vocational-technical school.

The scholarship is open to those who demonstrate the attributes of leadership, drive, integrity, and civic engagement. We seek candidates that have used their adoption story and formative youth experiences to lead, serve, and pursue a life of purpose and significance, both individually and for their communities.

Applicants must download the 2021 Scholarship application (at end of this page), carefully review the instructions, and submit all required documents before the deadline. This includes:

• Experience resume

• Four Essay Questions

• Official academic transcripts

• Personal Expression

• Letter of recommendation
