National Adoption Month

Dear Members,

It’s National Adoption Month! While most of us don’t need a designated month to discuss adoption, November is a great time to reflect on your experiences and to connect with your community.

This month I encourage all of our members to find time to engage in an adoptee-related conversation or activity. Talk to a friend about your experience as a transracial or international adoptee. Have a conversation with your family about how they can be an advocate for the adoptee community. Post an adoptee-written article on your Facebook or Twitter. Attend an Also-Known-As event. Or just post a selfie and celebrate who you are and how far you’ve come.  

How ever you choose to recognize National Adoption Month, make sure you take some time to celebrate yourself and how awesome you are. We hope to see you soon!
